BLACK HAT SEO #5: Bad SEO According To White Hat Webmasters

It is sad the number of website owners don't have any image of what BLACK HAT SEO in fact is.  This false impression is frequently passed down by their webmasters.  Some who are ill informed regularly have two major errors in their thinking on the subject of black hat seo.

  • White Hat Approaches are moral where Black Hat Methods are not.  FALSE!
  • Black Hat Strategies are almost certainly unlawful, furthermore that there is a small chance that White Hat strategies are against the law too!  FALSE!

When using black hat SEO, the content on a page and links equally on and to a page are developed for search engines to see and are unreadable by humans.   This technique is outdated.  Google's bot can locate nearly all cloaking used today and using this out-of-date practice will get your website sandboxed.

Admittedly, there are ways of automating content however this content is not cloaked or veiled from the Google bot.  Now White Hat SEO people will have you think that this technique is useful only for search engines.  False.  The fact of the matter is Webmasters would like people to visit to their websites.  Some of the produced content is aimed towards key words.  If a person searches for a specific keyword they may click on the content (in a blog for example), you have created.   But you want them to read the content and to obtain your product or services.

Some White Hat SEO people argue that, when utilizing white hat methods, the content and links are designed for both humans and search engines to observe. This implies they have got to be at the very least coherent. The mistake that many white hat practitioners make is to produce visible yet ugly pages that don't read well, and therefore don't convert well.  Does not signify they are using Black Hat SEO when they write bad content?

Some see BlackHat SEO as being at WAR with Google.  Agreeably that is true to some extent.  If you own a company don't you would like to advertise it to help you produce money.  Certainly plus it is the same way with promoting on the internet.  The difficulty is getting your website or product seen by Google.  You must aggressive in your advertising techniques on the internet now.  This is predominantly factual at this time that Google has altered its algorithm.  You want a much more aggressive maketing campaign at the present or else you will need to “compensate” Google to promote for you by means of its adwords!

I have observed White Hatters state that the white hat approach is either to discount search engines on the whole, or to think of search engines in a friendly way.  Yes and if they in reality reason like that they've got their heads buried in the sand.

Now let us look at the White Hat World for a second time.  They imply that there is a misconception that white hat practitioners strictly follow search engine rules and they don't.  They go on to state that they regularly don't read the Terms of Service for Google plus they frequently position a robots text files on their websites.  Additionally, they make use of meta tags; and free and paid submission when suitable.  What they don't state is that they will apply automated software that bypasses captcha codes.  Also widespread thinking is that using this sort of software is BlackHat SEO.

Content and Links

Often automated Labor Intesive
Use of Automated Software Yes Yes
Quality of Work Quantity Driven Quality Driven
Search Engines At War with Google Friendly Relationship
Domains/Brands Use of Web 2.0 to promote site Static with no Blackhat
Site & Relevance Short improvement but have longevity the same as White Hat Gradual improvement over time
Results Often short term if not done correctly Long term results
Ethical Techniques Yes and No Yes
Legal Yes and No Yes?
Use of Google Adwords

Not often

Chance of being sanboxed by Google Intensive Spamming will get you NOTICED by Google Very little chance of being sandboxed
Time Frame for Results Short Long
Tricks and use of Glitches Often Seldom

Note that Black Hat SEO if often done on Web 2.0 properties and that links from those properties go to the main website. Most Black Hat SEO webmasters never put their website in harms way!

White Hatters maintain that there exists at all times a danger that a site will fortuitously or by design be deleted from a search engine's index.  They go further to state that Black Hat techniques will at all times increase the danger that a site will be deliberately deleted from a search engine's index.  Pretty good fear tactic but this is certainly wrong.  If I apply an automated bookmark bot to submit my blog to, there is no way Google can or will sandbox me.  These are scare tactics promoted by White Hat SEO people.  Often these companies employ all kinds of automated software themselves.  Granted, there is certainly black hat approaches if not done correctly will place your website in harms way.

White hat practitioners argue they they frequently work with their client's key domain only.   They might offer a guarantee that the domain is not going to be intentionally deleted from a search engine's index as a consequence of incorporating their procedures. However, what about incorporating blogs from blogging sites like Ning, Blogger and Wordpress let's say to advertise your website.  What about building those blogs up and linking them to your website.  Is that Blackhat?  NO!.  White Hat SEO people hold their very own agenda propagating such nonsense.  They want to scare newbies into doing business with them.

Ever more people are educating themselves vis-à-vis Black Hat SEO.  If you can not find the money for Google Ads or hiring a White Hat SEO person to do your work some Black Hat techniques can be used.  Always commit to memory that moderation is the key.  Even Black Hat SEO has rules when it comes to battling Google.

Now to set the record staright, here are some of the Black Hat SEO tactics along with other top Google searches used these days:
